● Assist in the installation, operation, maintenance, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.
● Monitor Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and Fire Fighting works at project sites.
● Inspect MEP equipment, installations, and systems to ensure proper functioning and quality.
● Read and interpret MEP drawings, layouts, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
● Coordinate with contractors, technicians, and other engineering teams for smooth project execution.
● Identify faults and assist in troubleshooting MEP equipment and systems.
● Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
● Ensure MEP works comply with safety standards, project specifications, and applicable codes.
● Maintain inspection, maintenance, and equipment performance records.
● Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and update supervisors.
● Assist in testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.
● Support site inspection, quality control, BOQ, quantity take-off, and material estimation activities.
Required Skills
Electrical
● Electrical wiring and cable sizing.
● Knowledge of DB, SMDB, MCC, MCB, and RCCB installation.
● Cable tray and conduit installation.
● Lighting and power systems.
● Earthing and lightning protection.
● Testing and commissioning.
● Reading electrical SLDs.
HVAC
● Basic knowledge of AC and ventilation systems.
● AHU, FCU, and VRF/VRV systems.
● Ducting and chilled-water piping.
● HVAC equipment installation.
● Testing, balancing, and commissioning.
Plumbing
● Water supply and drainage systems.
● CPVC, PPR, PVC, and GI piping.
● Pumps and water tanks.
● Sanitary fixtures.
● Pressure and leakage testing.
Fire Fighting
● Fire hydrant and sprinkler systems.
● Fire pumps and pump rooms.
● Fire-fighting pipe installation.
● Testing and commissioning.
● Reading fire-fighting drawings.
Engineering & Site Skills
● AutoCAD – MEP drawings.
● Basic Revit MEP/BIM knowledge.
● MEP shop drawing interpretation.
● BOQ, quantity take-off, and material estimation.
● Site inspection and quality control.
● Daily/weekly progress reporting.
● Contractor and multidisciplinary coordination.
● Knowledge of HSE and site safety procedures.
Candidate Profile
● Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
● 2–3 years of relevant MEP experience.
● Strong site coordination and troubleshooting skills.
● Good knowledge of MEP installation and testing procedures.
● Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
● Good communication and reporting skills.
